Although most homes have a garage door, a very small number of homeowners actually park inside their garage, using the space instead for valuable storage space. It’s hard to know when it’s time for a garage door replacement, but here are a few signs that the time might be near. It can even increase the value of your house.

Garage doors tend to be one of the noisier appliances in your home. Some noise is normal. But if your garage door suddenly starts making new noises, or noises that sound really bad like grinding metal, it might signal time for garage door replacement. If they can’t, and the whole door must be scrapped, embrace the opportunity to give your house a little update that will increase its value when it comes time to sell.
