Martin Garage Doors is the only garage door manufacturer in the world that has the dual distinction
of being ISO-9001 registered and having a UL-approved door system.
What is ISO-9001?
With this registration, Martin becomes the first "UL Registered" garage door manufacturer
worldwide. Dave Martin also added that, "to the best of our knowledge, Martin door Mfg. is the first U.S. -
based garage door manufacturer to achieve ISO 9001:2000 registration. ISO 9001:2000
is the latest international quality standard endorsed by the International Organization
prominence in 140 countries. Registration requires a thorough documentation process covering
every procedure in the
manufacturing environment.
Employees are trained in procedures and steps are taken to assure
compliance to the approved procedures.
The registration was received after more than a two-year process of training, documentation and implementation.
Martin Door Manufacturing is a Utah based manufacturer in Salt Lake City. Martin produces
“The World's Finest and Safest Garage DoorsTM” and
“The World's Quietest Electric OpenersTM”.
Martin is currently selling garage doors in the United States and in 47 countries worldwide.
Sales are made through installing dealers.
Dave Martin has been the chief executive officer of Martin Door Manufacturing since the '50's.
During that period, Martin has risen to world prominence in the garage door industry.
Martin's growth over that period has made the company one of the fastest growing garage door
manufacturers in the world.
What is UL-approved?
Six combination door and opener systems of Martin Door Manufacturing® have been approved for a listing by Underwriters Laboratory (UL).
Following a two-and-a-half year process, Martin is entitled to put the UL listing on six separate door systems including: Woodline™ Electric, Ranch™ Electric, Camelot™ Electric, Hi-Tensil™ Electric, Flushline Electric and Carriage House Electric.
The UL listing assures all consumers that a Martin door system is both electronically and mechanically safer. The full and complete lines of electric garage door systems cover a size range in all models listed from 8' wide by 7' high, through 20' wide and 12' high.
"We say we make the safest garage door system in the world and now the largest testing laboratory in the world backs that up," Larry Martin, vice president of Martin Door said.
The UL listing, combined with ISO9001 registration, makes Martin Door the only door manufacturer in the world to have the dual designation.
